[07:59]<PCdoc> If you wanna hang out youve got to take her out; cocaine
[08:00]<+camerongray> err...
[08:00]<PCdoc> Is JBL brand for speakers and headphones in US / UK ?
[08:01]<PCdoc> Lol that was a question and not lyrics
[08:22]<@Mulreay> I got a puffer fish
[08:23]<PCdoc> ok Mulready
[08:23]<+camerongray> Got my latest ThinkPad :P
[08:23]<+camerongray> 1994 755c with a 468DX2
[08:23]<+camerongray> And wow this thing has history
[08:23]<PCdoc> Got my latest Mouse Pad
[08:24]<PCdoc> I have a IBm think pad P3
[08:24]<PCdoc> no one wants to buy :(
[08:24]<+camerongray> For obvious reasons :P
[08:24]<PCdoc> the customer dumped at my place
[08:24]<+camerongray> The P3 part
[08:24]<+camerongray> Discovered this was originally used by guy who invented the JumboTron screens (Massive ones used in statiums before LED displays)
[08:25]<PCdoc> I can use the screen and hdd nothing else
[08:25]<PCdoc> this ? your or mine ?
[08:25]<+camerongray> It had a sticker saying "JumboTron" on it - I thought it was maybe owned by a service tech or something, but nope - Open email client and the username is "Graham Burgess" - http://www.displayled.com/about-us
[08:26]<+camerongray> PCdoc: Yours is a P3 :P Can't use that for anything nowadays
[08:26]<+camerongray> I have a P3 Dell Latitude LS - All I use it for it copying files off of vintage computers
[08:27]<PCdoc> lol people come here asking for second hand P5 or P6! And I am like .. when did they launch ?
[08:27]<PCdoc> :-o
[08:29]<PCdoc> for them P5 is Dual core and P6 is either C2D or core i3 lol
[08:29]<+camerongray> lol
[08:29]<+camerongray> No wonder you can't sell that P3 ThinkPad though :P
[08:30]<PCdoc> PATA HDD are no longer available. If they are .. they are refurbished
[08:30]<PCdoc> with an year warranty which will keep on throwing bad sectors and there PCB may create problems all through the year.
[08:30]<PCdoc> I can use this laptop's HDD
[08:30]<+camerongray> Yeah
[08:30]<+camerongray> I suppose yeah
[08:31]<PCdoc> its PATA and the CD drive too
[08:31]<+camerongray> But surely its HDD will have the exact same reliability issues as any refurbished one?
[08:31]<PCdoc> yes, But I can sell it as second hand with no warranty
[08:31]<PCdoc> can fetch me something
[08:32]<PCdoc> instead of lying there with no use
[08:32]<+camerongray> Is it really worth that much?
[08:32]<PCdoc> Someone who is hungry for an IDE hss may buy it.
[08:32]<PCdoc> He has no other choice
[08:32]<PCdoc> they have even stopped selling refurbished ones
[08:32]<PCdoc> They still sell DDR1 laptop and desktop.
[08:33]<PCdoc> or repaired with an year warranty
[08:33]<PCdoc> had so many instances when they came back with problems. Took 1 week for replacement
[08:33]<PCdoc> DDR1 RAM **
[08:34]<PCdoc> with the company sticker which no longer exist mostly due to bankrupt or aquired by a bigger fish
[08:35]<PCdoc> And it has LCD Screen, its worth more than like 3k indian rupees.
[08:36]<+camerongray> Would someone really spend that to fix a P3 laptop?
[08:37]<PCdoc> its not P3.. many P4 laptops or old AMD laptops also had IDE
[08:37]<+camerongray> Nah, meaning the screen
[08:38]<PCdoc> I mean there are people who either can't afford to buy a new laptop or have bought there laptop second hand and need a new hdd
[08:38]<PCdoc> Because the laptop came with no warranty as it was second hand. And the HDD died due to some reason. bad luck
[08:39]<+camerongray> I'm talking about the screen
[08:39]<+camerongray> 3k to fix a P3 laptop
[08:39]<PCdoc> camerongray: I have an old client who was insisting me to fix is P3 desktop. He owns a Toshiba C2D laptop with dedicated graphics bought from the USA
[08:39]<+camerongray> lol
[08:39]<PCdoc> no, I said the screen of the P3 laptop can be used
[08:39]<PCdoc> lol
[08:40]<PCdoc> I tried to convince him the P3 desktop has no value. Yet he was like no I wanna use it till it finally dies
[08:41]<PCdoc> 128MB RAM and 10GB HDD. Wanted for his son to play games. I wonder what games is his son gonan enjoy on that lol
[08:41]<PCdoc> gonna *
[08:41]<+camerongray> lol yeah
[08:42]<PCdoc> Rather play "snakes" on Nokia 1100 :P
[08:42]<PCdoc> I wanna learn laptop fabrication
[08:43]<PCdoc> Searched a lot on youtube and google. Nothing
[08:43]<+camerongray> You can't build a laptop yourself!
[08:43]<PCdoc> No not build
[08:43]<+camerongray> Barebones yeah, but can't do it from scratch
[08:44]<PCdoc> Like for example there are some broken parts, they remake that particular part (plastic) and even textures so that it looks new
[08:44]<PCdoc> and last bvery long
[08:44]<PCdoc> very *
[08:44]<PCdoc> The common example is the foundation of the LCD.
[08:45]<PCdoc> The screw part where the whole LCD sits in the body often breaks. After which you cannot fit the LCD panel even if you use strong addhesive
[08:46]<PCdoc> For that they recreate the plastic there so that it becomes strong enough to hold the LCD and also looks new. Don't have to hunt for another body or scrap the laptop just for that reason
[08:47]<@BC_Programming> I have had two laptops that were ad are +20 years old and I've never seen that broken
[08:47]<PCdoc> They do it here. Many people do on there own here. But for obvious reason they don't want to share the method. Because if you are good at it. you have monopoly
[08:49]<PCdoc> BC_Programming: They break due to carelessness. Someone like you or me or anyone here will of course be careful. But people like sometimes lift the laptop holding only LCD. They don't give support on the body
[08:49]<+camerongray> Newer laptops are pretty crappy made
[08:49]<+camerongray> That's why I use ThinkPads :P
[08:49]<+camerongray> Oh yeah BC_Programming - Was it you that used to have a ThinkPad 755C?
[08:50]<@BC_Programming> 755CDV
[08:50]<PCdoc> Or they have kids at there home. Who will like break it and parents can't scold them because I mean they are like 1-2yrs.
[08:50] * Phreak (Mibbit@mib-90EF8F57.dynamic.ip.windstream.net) has joined #glitchpc
[08:50]<PCdoc> Efreak ?
[08:50]<Phreak> ANyone?
[08:50]<PCdoc> lol
[08:51]<@BC_Programming> No it says Phreak
[08:51]<PCdoc> Someone
[08:51]<Phreak> Whew
[08:51]<Phreak> Computerhope is Laaaaaaaaaaaaaaame
[08:51]<Phreak> They are sooo uptight
[08:52]<PCdoc> wt??
[08:53]<PCdoc> Who you and who told you the address of this place?
[08:53]<PCdoc> Tresspassers will be Prosecuted lol :P
[08:53]<Phreak> I am Legion
[08:53]<Phreak> Immental invited me
[08:53]<PCdoc> ghosh!
[08:53]<PCdoc> When are we gonna kill the ch business
[08:53]<PCdoc> I mean topic **
[08:53]<PCdoc> sorry
[08:54]<Phreak> The what?
[08:54]<Phreak> Anyways i'm trying to design a program
[08:54]<Phreak> A really annoying program
[08:54]<PCdoc> j/k
[08:54]<Phreak> wtf?
[08:55]<PCdoc> YOUR ch has a programmng forum
[08:55]<Immental1200> Hello
[08:55]<Immental1200> I never invited you
[08:55]<PCdoc> Good morning Immental1200
[08:55]<PCdoc> :-o
[08:55]<PCdoc> hahahah
[08:55]<Phreak> Pretty sure you did
[08:55]<Phreak> Ohhhh it was Jamer my bad
[08:56]<Immental1200> Don't recognise the nick at all
[08:56]<Phreak> Dont know why your name sounded so familiar
[08:56]<Phreak> Well i had just a guest name when i was invited
[08:57]<PCdoc> Now jamer will say "I never invited you"
[08:58]<PCdoc> They Phreak will say, "Oh I am so sorry it was umm Craig!"
[08:58]<@BC_Programming> PCDoc: STFU
[08:58]<PCdoc> Then*
[08:58]<PCdoc> ok BC_Programming
[08:58]<@BC_Programming> last time I checked this wasn't exactly a invite-only channel
[09:00]<@BC_Programming> Mulreay: did you find my present? :D
[09:00]<+Craig> ... Thanks BC, I was wondering what he was babbling about.
[09:01]<PCdoc> BC_Programming: b'day?
[09:02]<PCdoc> aah no
[09:05]<@Mulreay> I did BC_Programming yeah thx for that.. farm is really taking off now
[09:06]<@BC_Programming> yeah I was going to make a copy of the map for all of us, pretty big area to explore
[09:06]<@BC_Programming> and anybody will be able to fill in all the maps too as well as know where the other players are if they are carrying the map which is nifty
[09:07]<@Mulreay> yeah good plan
[09:08] * Phreak (Mibbit@mib-90EF8F57.dynamic.ip.windstream.net) has left #glitchpc
[09:08]<@BC_Programming> I was thinking of building some bridges since swimming across the water is a PITA
[09:08]<@Mulreay> Yeah was thinking the same thing
[09:09]<@BC_Programming> obviously raised up so boats can travel underneath
[09:09]<@Mulreay> yeah
[09:09]<@Mulreay> I could do it if you want?
[09:09]<@BC_Programming> I'll probably gather some clay, I'm thinking it should have bricks for some reason
[09:09]<@Mulreay> ahh k
[09:09]<@BC_Programming> you know super fancy
[09:12]<@Mulreay> That's a LOT of clay
[09:13]<@BC_Programming> well not entirely out of bricks, maybe the sides
[09:13]<@BC_Programming> first I wanted to get respiration and/or aqua affinity on a helmet though
[09:13]<@BC_Programming> oh btw I have a enchanting table in the area I have under construction, feel free to use it of course
[09:13]<@Mulreay> cool thx

[10:32]<Immental1200> Can I join this server? ;)
[10:34]<@jacky> well... if you hadn't "connected" to the server, you wouldn't be able to "join" this channel, and we wouldn't be talking about it
[10:34]<@jacky> :)
[10:34]<Immental1200> I was referring to the Minecraft server :P
[10:36]<@Mulreay> It's up to BC_Programming Immental1200 but just say that it's AWESOME. We've been having lots of fun and stuff
[10:36]<Immental1200> That's why I want to join :/
[10:37]<Immental1200> My server was good like 3 months ago, then we lost the world and hardly anyone came back
[10:37]<@Mulreay> Advert for backing up right there
[10:37]<Immental1200> Too damn right.
[10:38]<Immental1200> Was running it off a personal server in a datacentre on my personal account... got DDoS'd.
[10:38]<@Mulreay> Not sure we have enough room for another house though
[10:38]<Immental1200> Datacentre pulled an abuse case on me, terminated the server.
[10:39]<@BC_Programming> I don't trust you enough tbh, Right now I just have the same people on the whitelist that were on Craig's whitelist- Myself, Mulreay, Craig, camerongray, and Tux2. There is one name that I added when camerongray asked, but in that case he vouched for them
[10:39]<@BC_Programming> I mean this is a vanilla server with no protections and absolutely no logging
[10:40]<Immental1200> That's fair enough
[10:42]<@BC_Programming> so it basically operates entirely on the trust we've built up... I mean consider for example the case of "griefing" where camerongray burned down my creeper statue by accident. If it was on a public server and just somebody I knew from that server, I would have been quite annoyed, but because I trust camerongray I accepted that it happened while trying to fix it in good faith and it was a
[10:42]<@BC_Programming> laugh even if it meant losing like 600 blocks of dyed green wool... before sheep regrew their wool, or breeding no less
[10:42]<@BC_Programming> the type of trust where somebody could be holding a diamond pickaxe and in full diamond armour and if somebody asked "Do you have diamonds" and they said "no" we would accept it
[10:43]<@Mulreay> And anything someone 'borrows' will be returned and nothing taken without asking
[10:44]<Immental1200> Yeah I get that
[10:46]<Immental1200> I've only been on one server like that
[10:46]<Immental1200> FTB Ultimate with no plugins other than the standard stuff.
[10:47]<@Mulreay> We have all been on here for years so we gained each others trust.. so by that logic we should be good in say 5-6 years?
[10:47]<@BC_Programming> haha
[10:48]<Immental1200> Well bollocks.
[10:48]<@BC_Programming> well how long did we know each other when Craig started his server?
[10:48]<Immental1200> I'm loosing all my free time as it is, having to wait 5 years would probably kill me
[10:48]<@Mulreay> Good 2 years I would think maybe even 3-4
[10:49]<@BC_Programming> I do like that though, when somebody can burn down a massive creeper-statue you just finished not a few hours ago, claim it was an accident, and it's all good
[10:49]<@Mulreay> Yeah
[10:49]<@BC_Programming> except that he wasn't allowed to have flint and steel on his hotbar after that
[10:50]<@Mulreay> lol yeah
[10:50]<Immental1200> Ha.. you'd have loved my first server with two of my friends from school and jamer... it was TNT fun every week.
[10:50]<Immental1200> I lost a very nice village one time.
[10:50]<@Mulreay> I remember blowing up a corner of camerongray house with a creeper accidentally.. just got the blocks and re-built it.. never even knew it happened
[10:54]<@BC_Programming> well NOW he does way to go Mulreay
[10:54]<@Mulreay> lol
[10:55]<@BC_Programming> haha it's even funnier to read the log
[10:55]<@BC_Programming> http://pastebin.com/U30V1H8m
[10:55]<@BC_Programming> "My creeper statue is glorious, finally finished. I never want to gather wool again."
[10:56]<@BC_Programming> " BC! - SORRY!" ... " I accidently burned the creeper down :(((( like 6 hours later lol
[10:57]<@Mulreay> Reading
[10:58]<@Mulreay> lol memories
[10:58]<@Mulreay> Is it date stamped in any way?
[10:58]<@BC_Programming> yeah my logs go back to the very first time I opened mIRC
[10:59]<@BC_Programming> Sep. 2011
[10:59]<@Mulreay> 4 years cool
[10:59]<@Mulreay> jk
[10:59]<@Mulreay> I was so off
[11:00]<@BC_Programming> The first thing I ever said in the channel was
[11:00]<@BC_Programming> "oh ok"
[11:00]<@BC_Programming> I know, riveting
[11:00]<@Mulreay> heh, I remember my first time here.. jacky dragged me kicking and screaming from CH forum
[11:01]<@BC_Programming> oooh now I need to search my log
[11:01]<@jacky> I did?
[11:01]<@jacky> heh
[11:01]<@Mulreay> One sec jacky I should have the PM
[11:01]<@jacky> oh great...
[11:01]<@jacky> technology
[11:01]<@jacky> EVERYTHING comes back to haunt you...
[11:01]<@jacky> ...sigh.
[11:01]<@jacky> <g>

[11:02]<@BC_Programming> [08:56] <@BC_Programming> hello mulreay :)
[11:02]<@BC_Programming> ~2009
[11:02]<@BC_Programming> SO IT BEGAN
[11:02]<@jacky> so it is YOUR fault! you had your chance to say, "Go away!" and you blew it
[11:02]<@Mulreay> Yeah the CH messages seem to have been cleared before November 10, 2010, 07:13:38 AM
[11:02]<@jacky> hehehehe
[11:03]<@Mulreay> lol BC_Programming
[11:03]<@BC_Programming> jacky: technology has spared you
[11:03]<@jacky> whew!
[11:04]<@Mulreay> But you did invite me for some reason then we had fun adding scripts into mIRC... oh the pain you must of went through
[11:04]<@BC_Programming> Apparently I discuss my gardening techniques
[11:05]<@BC_Programming> <@BC_Programming> you'll never be plump and juicy like your brothers in the greehouse
[11:05]<@BC_Programming> [09:18] <@BC_Programming> you are scum
[11:05]<@BC_Programming> [09:18] <@BC_Programming> you grovel for the privilege of being called dirt
[11:05]<@BC_Programming> [09:18] <@BC_Programming> now have some fertilizer
[11:05]<@BC_Programming> [09:18] <@BC_Programming> good night tomatoes
[11:06]<@Mulreay> lol
[11:07]<@Mulreay> I remember the first time we ever talked alone BC_Programming it started with Queen
[11:07]<@Mulreay> Don't know why I remember that
[11:08]<@Mulreay> When I say 'alone' I mean nobody else in the channel was around
[11:08]<@Mulreay> And camerongray saved my house location on the CH forum
[11:09]<@Mulreay> My logs only go back to 2011 as I've changed computers a few times
[11:10]<@BC_Programming> "Session Start: Sun Jun 14 11:07:22 2009" my first join of the channel
[11:10]<@BC_Programming> or at least first join with mIRC
[11:11]<@jacky> when I started, logs were kept on stone tablets.
[11:11]<@jacky> :)
[11:11]<@BC_Programming> yeah back then throwing the book at somebody meant stoning them to death
[11:12]<@jacky> you needed big muscles, to heave that sucker, too
[11:12]<@BC_Programming> or a pet dinosaur
[11:12]<@Mulreay> http://pastebin.com/SP5BHuJu
[11:12]<@BC_Programming> "<Tux2> Sorry camerongray, I don't play MC..." heheh
[11:13]<@Mulreay> lol yeah
[11:15]<@BC_Programming> haha woah just checked my account and got the crap scared out of me since 200$ was missing
[11:15]<@BC_Programming> then I remembered I was transfering it to paypal
[11:16]<@Mulreay> lol
[11:17]<@Mulreay> I did that until I remembered I'd moved funds to my savings account
[11:17]<@BC_Programming> another K from my pay tomorrow morning too woop
[11:17]<Immental1200> Why do you put the $ sign after the number
[11:17]<Immental1200> To me it looks funny
[11:17]<@BC_Programming> because I think of it as X Dollars so I end up putting the dollar sign second
[11:18]<@Mulreay> Written how it's spoken
[11:18]<Immental1200> I suppose
[11:18]<Immental1200> Only time I've seen say 5£
[11:18]<Immental1200> Was on a market stall with handwritten signs
[11:18]<@Mulreay> But yeah I only do £5
[11:19]<@BC_Programming> also when you speak of cents for some reason it is supposed to be say 56¢ rather than ¢56
[11:20]<Immental1200> That I get
[11:20]<Immental1200> Because we do 56p
[11:21]<@BC_Programming> yeah you say 56 pence, just as one would say 56 cents
[11:21]<@Mulreay> I always found it strange that Americans (not sure of Canadians) say 'penny' for 1c whitch is obviously a British penny
[11:21]<Immental1200> That does amuse me
[11:21]<Immental1200> They say a penny
[11:21]<@Mulreay> which*
[11:21]<Immental1200> But never 20 pennies or 50 pennies
[11:21]<@BC_Programming> our pennies were called pennies
[11:21]<@BC_Programming> I say were because we don't have pennies anymore
[11:21]<@BC_Programming> smallest coin is now the Nickel
[11:22]<Immental1200> You won't get anyone going 'I've got a few pennies' anymore unless they're like someones grandparent
[11:22]<@Mulreay> I remember 1/2 pennies back in the day
[11:22]<Immental1200> Lol... Yeah I'm nowhere near old enough
[11:22]<@Mulreay> OK I'm not that old :p
[11:22]<Immental1200> Ooh. I forgot. I start my apprenticeship Monday :D
[11:22]<@BC_Programming> our Nickel could be rated 18+ by conservatives since it has a picture of a beaver
[11:22]<Immental1200> ^ That IS funny.
[11:22]<@Mulreay> heh
[11:24]<@Mulreay> Animal life in Britain is fairly boring.. there is nothing really that could kill you except a Bee and if you have an anaphylactic shock
[11:24]<Immental1200> Or a badger if you piss it off.
[11:24]<@Mulreay> And you were a small child
[11:24]<@BC_Programming> with tiny hands
[11:25]<Immental1200> Well, we have zoos, so perhaps a lion could eat you.
[11:25]<Immental1200> I doubt it though, they're too tame to properly hunt
[11:26]<@BC_Programming> BEHOLD! http://www.mint.ca/store/mint/learn/eliminating-the-penny-6900002#.Ul7L8BDYmE8
[11:27]<Immental1200> I googled nickel beaver... and found this epic little guy. https://encrypted-tbn3.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcR8YEl-g6JyzYHTEVCkRKUsa1RCOC8t3XzfDrjdJPJj7Qvm2oTh
[11:27]<@Mulreay> ISo nothing in canada can cost $X.99
[11:27]<Immental1200> Damnit.
[11:27]<Immental1200> http://www.thecanadapage.org/images/S_Beaver.jpg
[11:28]<@BC_Programming> Mulreay: technically I think they could sticker price it that way but that would be a douche move
[11:28]<Immental1200> I've got a DVD in my USB DVD Drive, it's not showing up in Media player... and there's no play option on right-click, it also won't bring up autoplay. Any ideas?
[11:29]<@Mulreay> Device manager any issues?
[11:29]<@BC_Programming> use something other than Media player?
[11:29]<Immental1200> I can't be bothered to install something.
[11:29]<Immental1200> Works fine in device manager, I burned a disc with it last week.
[11:30]<@Mulreay> VLC will take all of a minute
[11:30]<@BC_Programming> can you view the contents of the DVD
[11:30]<Immental1200> Yup
[11:30]<@BC_Programming> yeah probably a WMP issue
[11:31]<Immental1200> VLC it is, despite the fact it'll only ever be used for DVDs lol.
[11:31]<@BC_Programming> I have VLC, Media Player Classic, and a few other media players installed. All they take is disk space and they can be used in a jiff to check if a issue is program related
[11:32]<Immental1200> I only installed the PC this month, and I don't really use a whole lot.
[11:32]<Immental1200> Chrome, Office, Putty, Filezilla, Skype and Steam with some games.
[11:32]<Immental1200> That's it.
[11:32]<Immental1200> Oh... and Minecraft
[11:33]<@Mulreay> I find VLC works with most formats and is quite reliable with some nice features like track sync etc
[11:33]<Immental1200> I've not used it since an old XP machine of mine that refused to accept codec packs.
[11:33]<@BC_Programming> I barely use my laptop but I have more programs than I could probably list off the top of my head
[11:34]<@Mulreay> You shouldn't need any codec packs with VLC
[11:34]<Immental1200> Precisely why I got VLC on the XP machine.
[11:34]<Immental1200> Media player threw a fit.
[11:34]<@BC_Programming> I use EditPad Pro for editing my website
[11:34]<Immental1200> I don't suppose my virtual DVD drive would be interfering would it...
[11:35]<@BC_Programming> Could do
[11:35]<Immental1200> Probably not, but I should try unmounting it
[11:35]<Immental1200> Amusing.
[11:35]<@BC_Programming> It's sad that my laptop feels faster than my desktop
[11:35]<Immental1200> An error occured while ejecting this device
[11:35]<Immental1200> -_- I give up
[11:35]<@BC_Programming> what do you use for the virtual drive
[11:35]<Immental1200> Windows 8 stuff
[11:36]<Immental1200> It's just an ISO image
[11:36]<@Mulreay> Use something horrible like Daemon tools
[11:36]<@BC_Programming> I use Virtual CloneDrive
[11:36]<Immental1200> That ... is interesting
[11:37]<@Mulreay> I only use daemon because I know how it works
[11:37]<Immental1200> I just hit play on the film, and the entire PC suffered from a freezeup while it loaded.
[11:37]<@BC_Programming> I can't tell if I have a slight tan or if my arms are dirty
[11:37]<@Mulreay> lol
[11:37]<Immental1200> Has anyone else ever had performance issues when the DVD drive say refused to load the disc?
[11:38]<Immental1200> I remember it a lot on my XP machines and my last desktop
[11:38]<Immental1200> But first time I've had it on this
[11:38]<@Mulreay> Never really use my drive to be fair
[11:38]<Immental1200> I used it when I had 7 installed, but again it was still the USB drive I plugged in as needed.
[11:40]<@BC_Programming> I should replace mine with a SATA.... but then again wtf would be the point since my IDE LightScribe Dual Layer DVD-RW drive works fine.
[11:44]<@jacky> see you all later ...
[11:44]<@Mulreay> later

[14:15]<@BC_Programming> there now I have an actual house
[14:15]<+camerongray> Need. More. Monitors
[14:15]<@BC_Programming> You need to build a house
[14:15]<+camerongray> lol
[14:15]<@BC_Programming> before all the prime real estate is taken on the server
[14:16]<+camerongray> Or I suppose - I need to learn to have multiple windows side-by-side instead of maximising them all
[14:16]<+camerongray> I can't connect :P
[14:16]<+camerongray> Reason: Linux.
[14:16]<@BC_Programming> reason?
[14:16]<@BC_Programming> how is Linux the reason tho
[14:17]<+camerongray> When things like that don't work, it's usually Linux
[14:17]<+camerongray> Remember, I'm on Arch, nothing "just works" :P
[14:17]<@BC_Programming> heh
[14:22]<+camerongray> Now time to do my uni coursework :D
[14:22]<+camerongray> "Write a MIPS program print bits.s that has a function for producing a printed representation of a range of bits in a word. The function should expect a word w in register $a0
[14:22]<+camerongray> and a number of bits n in register $a1. It then prints out bits n1 to 0 of w in a row, using
[14:22]<+camerongray> a '#' character for a 1 bit and a '.' character for a 0 bit."
[14:22]<+camerongray> So much fun!

[14:36]<Immental1200> Picked up a 19" Acer today from cashgenerator... £12.49!!!
[14:36]<Immental1200> Apparently it was so cheap because there was no kettle lead with it
[14:37]<@BC_Programming> What's a Kettle lead
[14:37]<Immental1200> Standard power lead, goes into a standard PSU
[14:37]<Immental1200> Or monitor
[14:37]<@BC_Programming> yeah I call those power cords
[14:38]<Immental1200> There is some technical name... I83 or something
[14:47]<@BC_Programming> guess what I'm having for lunch
[14:48]<Immental1200> Food
[14:48]<Immental1200> I win!
[14:48]<@BC_Programming> well yes
[14:51]<@BC_Programming> Pizza, damn I love it
[14:58]<Immental1200> I had Pizza for tea
[15:00]<@BC_Programming> The updater I made for work is frikkin awesome
[15:03]<+camerongray> BC_Programming: Is it bad that I just though "Hmm, MIPS assembly is quite fun"?
[15:03]<@BC_Programming> MIPS assembly is a gateway language
[15:03]<@BC_Programming> before long you'll be learning welsh
[15:03]<+camerongray> lol!
[15:03]<+camerongray> Or Gaelic
[15:04]<+camerongray> Oddly they are actually opening some Gaelic schools - It's like opening a school that teaches in Latin!
[15:04]<Immental1200> Well, they're nuts.
[15:04]<+camerongray> Yeah :P
[15:05]<@BC_Programming> "we have to preserve our heritage"
[15:05]<+camerongray> I know one phrase :P
[15:05]<@BC_Programming> isn't wearing dresses enough?
[15:05]<Immental1200> Anyone got any suggestions for a video streaming server?
[15:05]<Immental1200> Something like WHM Sonic / Centoca
[15:05]<Immental1200> Centova*
[15:05]<+camerongray> "Failte gu Alba" -> "Welcome to Scotland"
[15:05]<Immental1200> We keep getting craploads of requests and I can't find anything I like
[15:05]<Immental1200> Alba = Scotland?!
[15:05]<+camerongray> And I only know that because it's on the sign as you cross the border
[15:05]<+camerongray> Yeah
[15:06]<+camerongray> I could also go to the parliament and get translations for "Entrance", "No Entry", "Fire Exit", "Toilets" :P
[15:06]<+camerongray> SNP decided to put all the signs in both English and Gaelic
[15:07]<@BC_Programming> Here it's French and English but at least French isn't a dead language yet
[15:07]<+camerongray> YEah
[15:07]<Immental1200> I don't understand it in Wales either...
[15:07]<+camerongray> There are some tiny communities up north and some islands where it is still spoken
[15:07]<Immental1200> I've quite a lot of welsh family, and none of them actually ever speak Welsh to one another
[15:07]<+camerongray> But I've never heard it
[15:07]<@BC_Programming> Leprechaun communities
[15:07]<+camerongray> Come to think of it - There is a Gaelic BBC channel "BBC Alba"
[15:09]<+camerongray> http://postimg.org/image/b4mhmf31l/
[15:10]<+camerongray> Not kidding!
[15:10]<@BC_Programming> Jackie Chan lol
[15:11]<+camerongray> lol
[15:11]<+camerongray> There is a group of people talking about something
[15:11]<@BC_Programming> oh I just noticed Alba
[15:11]<@BC_Programming> heh
[15:12]<+camerongray> You can also see the quality of UK TV there :P
[15:13]<+camerongray> I mean, it would be quite cool to speak Gaelic, but not useful :P
[15:13]<+camerongray> We were taught German in school, that proved very useful in Austria
[15:13]<+camerongray> I could make out bits of some of the signs
[15:14]<+camerongray> I mean, why teach us how to read a menu, surely 2 weeks on learning how to talk about sorting a stamp collection is much more useful!
[15:14]<@BC_Programming> "This sign either says "No through road" or "Protest the Muffin Tax"
[15:14]<+camerongray> You try to speak German to someone - There are two outcomes
[15:14]<+camerongray> a) They respond in English
[15:15]<+camerongray> b) They respond in German and you don't understand
[15:18]<@BC_Programming> bien, je parle un petit peu de francais
[15:18]<@BC_Programming> oh pas maintenant! je ne peux parler vous anglias!
[15:19]<@BC_Programming> Don't translate that it might be nonsense
[15:23]<+camerongray> lol
[15:24]<Immental1200> Oh dear, my quarry is about to explode because I'm unable to use Combustion Engines....
[16:19]<@BC_Programming> Mulreay: where is the map I gave you
[16:20]<@BC_Programming> crap he was carrying it
[16:20]<@BC_Programming> I'm f*cked
[16:20]<Immental1200> Haaa
[16:20]<Immental1200> Did you limit the map, or just leave it as a full size one
[16:21]<@BC_Programming> I need a map to find out where I died
[16:21]<Immental1200> Ooh
[16:28]<@BC_Programming> managed to pick my stuff up again before I starved to death
[16:28]<@BC_Programming> so uh
[16:28]<@BC_Programming> let's try that again
[16:29]<Immental1200> This time, take food :P
[16:29]<@BC_Programming> Don't have any
[16:29]<Immental1200> Kill a pig on the way
[16:29]<@BC_Programming> I'll simply not sprint since I have a better idea where it is
[16:30]<@BC_Programming> I remember seeing horses so I'll bring a saddle :P
[16:49]<@BC_Programming> got back safely and with a horse now
